About Ty Lucy

Ty Lucy is a pretty, detached, stone cottage, with glimpses of the sea. It is tucked away down an unmade lane in the small hamlet of Trelerw, only 200 yards from the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and surrounded by the National Parks. Step into the cosy sitting room with oak floor, beams and exposed stone walls, comfortably furnished and complimented by Vanessa Arbuthnot fabrics; the wood burning stove ensures a cosy feel even on the chilliest of evenings. You will appreciate just how close you are to the coast with glimpses of the sea from the sitting area. One step leads up into the compact, fitted kitchen and through to the small bedrooms beyond, the delightful double room offers a view towards Skomer Island on a clear day.

Enjoy sitting on the bench to the front of the cottage, its westerly aspect makes it an ideal spot on a summer’s evening,  a sloping pathway or rough stepping stone steps leads to the rear, raised lawn where you can dine alfresco and admire the distant sea view. Spend you days exploring the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, the coastline and surrounding countryside is stunning. The tiny city of St Davids with its wonderful Cathedral and Bishops Palace is only 1 mile away. There are some excellent shops, pubs, restaurants and galleries, while the picturesque harbour village of Solva is well worth a visit too. Caerfai is your closest beach or a little further on past St Davids is Whitesands Bay, officially one of the finest beaches in the world and popular with surfers both professional and beginners alike.

A delightful holiday retreat for just a couple or family to escape to, whatever the season.

A lovely cottage in a special place. The Coast path is wonderfully accessible. Our dog adored the walks and we adored the beauty all around. What a treat! Visits to a very dear friend made our stay even more special.

Ty Lucy was a brilliant last minute find. Booked Monday morning arrived Monday afternoon. Spent three wonderful days exploring the Pembrokeshire Coast and walked over 30 miles. Walked to Porth Clais and beyond and walked to Solva and beyond. Caught the Celtic Cruiser to Whitesands and walked back. Visit to the Cathedral is, of course a must. Ate at the Bishops and also had fish and chips - both excellent. Our first visit but it will not be out last.

Emma & Marc

We've had a lovely week - what a beautiful part of the world. Lots of walking along the coastal path in both directions. Loved the beach at Whitesands. Really enjoyed a boat trip around Ramsey island, St David's is beautiful!

Jenny & Chris

A great cottage ..... a great holiday ..... a super place to celebrate our 60 years together. Visited Hilton Court for lunch...Porth Clais for coffee and cake .... Solve Mill for much temptation!! All a treat... hope to come again.

Our Second stay at Ty Lucy and it was even better than we remembered! The lady at the National Trust shop in St Davids was very helpful with advice, including using Coastal Buses one way then walking back along the Coast Path (e.g Porthgain to Abereiddy). Good meal at The Bishops in St Davids. Great boat ride around Ramsey Island, seeing seals and pups. Many Thanks for the use of your lovely cottage!

Ty Lucy has been perfect for out week in Coastal Adventure. Cosy and everything we needed.

Another wonderful week, not a drop of rain and plenty of sunshine, so we enjoyed beautiful walks and views of the coast, springy grassy picnic stops, trying to identify flowers (again) and bird spotting. Love the walks from the house - left to Solva (good pub), right to St Davids (Farmers Arms) and beyond, then a short distance to Porth Clais, Ramsey Island and more Northerly walks. Also enjoyed refreshment at Druidstone, the beach is the best. All in all another memorable holiday in this very special place.

We love Pembrokeshire and are down having a second viewing on a similar property. This place is a great little retreat. It's ideally situated for an evening stroll along the Coastal Path. We've had as always the best of the UK weather (always do when we come to Pembrokeshire). The cottage is clean, tidy and well equipped. I especially loved the log burner which for one wasn't a mission to keep lit. I would definitely stay here again if we weren't buying our own place down here. Tee Hee!

The Whitbread Family

A lovely winter weekend in Wales! Such a nice cottage . Thank you again! Recommend the Druidston Hotel for a drink and very interesting atmosphere...

The Slattery Family

Despite the threat of a "hurricane" we had a comfortable stay and managed to do some walks along the coast. It was warm and we didn't need the log fire. We love this area!

Edwards Family

We have had a wonderful week in this lovely little cottage. Great location for easy access to all the beaches (Marloes, Druidston, Little Haven, Nolton, Newgale, Whitesands) The weather has been glorious

The Allsop Family

An ideal location for those wishing to explore Pembrokeshire and have easy access to the coastal path.
